Comprehensive Skating Analysis

The PEAK Centre Comprehensive Skating Analysis has been developed using HD Video Technology and Dartfish Analysis Software to systematically video, measure, analyze, and carefully break down a players skating stride and positioning in order to make accurate and detailed correction.

 Comprehensive Skating Analysis (CSA)- Level 1

The Level 1 analysis has been developed for Individuals who are looking for a comprehensive analysis of a players skating stride including:

  • Forward acceleration
  • Backward acceleration   
  • Tight turns
  • Crossovers

Each position is captured using HD technology to ensure video quality and precision.

This four session program includes:

  1. An on ice video taping of skating session,
  2. Movement screen testing- determine muscle strength imbalances, flexibility, power, balance, etc
  3. A video analysis session with a take home disc (mediabook), where our skating coach will discuss key positions and changes that need to be made, and
  4. Corrective movements and exercises to be completed at home
  5. Two 50-min on ice sessions to detail technical errors and learn drills to improve skating technique.

Comprehensive Skating Analysis (CSA)- Level 2

Those who are looking for a preliminary analysis without private session follow-up, or who have completed a level one analysis and are looking for comparitive information, are encouraged to complete a level 2 analysis after an adequate period of technical correction and training. 

  • Typically completed 60-90 days after the initial analysis
  • Comparitive video is completed to identify technical correction and improvement.
  • Provides precise direction and recommendations for further improvement.

This two session program includes:
