Field Testing
Field-testing combines a physiological or biomechanical measurement, like heart rate, lactate, force, or power with performance data like time, speed, or successful completion of a skill, to measure one or more aspects of performance. Field tests are the ultimate in specific testing; performed on the court, ice, or field of play they not only assess fitness but they provide insight into the efficiency of skills and mental strength and focus. Field tests can be done alone or in conjunction with lab tests to provide a more complete picture of the client’s abilities. Field tests can be done off site, at your training or practice facility and are ideal for large groups that are not able to travel to a Peak Centre facility.
