"Running has always been something that I just did. It was not until I tried to unsuccessfully prepare for a 1/2 marathon on my own that I realized I was not training properly. The PEAK Centre Running Program has helped me stay injury free, and taken my running fitness to a level where I am actually racing my events instead of just participating"

The PEAK Centre Running Program was developed out of the increasing need of runners who were not content with training programs and inaccurate training zone development so prevalent in books and throughout the internet. This generic approach to running not only can be unsafe, but can also limit a persons improvement over time.

Program Options

Progressive Running Program- Free Program- Only Testing Fees Required

  • Progressive 16-week training plan design (5 km, 10 km, 1/2 marathon, or marathon)
  • Progressive strength training schedule
  • Aerobic fitness testing- Initial and Week-8 
  • Speed, pace, and heart rate training zone development
  • Once monthly 30-min phone support (Junior Physiologist)
  • Nutritional booklet
  • Race peaking and tapering development

Program Cost:

$310.00 + HST  ($77.50 + HST per month average)
*minimum 4-month program requirement

 

Comprehensive Running Program

  • Individual monthly training plan design (5 km, 10 km, 1/2 marathon, or marathon)
  • Individual strength training schedule and program run through
  • Designated physiologist (Senior Physiologist)
  • Aerobic fitness testing- every 10-12 weeks or as required 
  • Speed, pace, and heart rate training zone development- Inital and continual
  • Unlimited phone and e-mail support (Senior Physiologist)
  • Facility access (Kanata location), including freeweight and treadmill area
  • Nutritional counselling
  • Individual race peaking and tapering development

Program Cost:

First month payment- $225.00 + GST (initial testing and initial monthly training schedule)

Monthly payments-     $125.00 + GST (subsequent testing and monthly training plan design)
*minimum 3-month program requirement

 

Training with the PEAK Centre provides you with a sense of  prepardness, in that you can almost know the result of your race even before you complete it.
