“My work with Pat Malloy on the ice was awesome. I noticed a huge difference in my edge work out of turns and leg power allowing me to get to areas on the ice with quickness and confidence. Pat’s constant change in stimulus and dynamic approach to teaching me puck skills and skating is the best in the business!”   Ryan Spooner – Boston Bruins

Los Angeles Kings v Phoenix Coyotes“Working with Pat Malloy at Peak Centre has been extremely helpful to me as a skater. I feel faster, smoother and more explosive on the ice. Truly a great learning experience with a great coach who knows what he is talking about. Thanks for all the help and see you next summer.!” Tyler Toffoli – Los Angeles Kings

Back due to popular demand – now FULL DAY!

A hockey game consists of two teams competing against each other, but often games are won or lost based on smaller area battles. New this year, the PEAK Centre’s battle camp incorporates small area simulations directed to improve the individual’s skills within crucial high traffic areas on the ice. Skills such as body positioning, angling, containment and contact will be taught and practiced throughout 4 hours of on ice instruction. Smaller ratio groups allow Peak's high level playing instructors to really get to know the athletes and develop skills specific to them as individuals.

NEW Hybrid Skating, Acceleration, Edges - Novice/Atom
Register See Details^

In today’s game, skating skills have the ability to make or break a hockey player. A good skater will excel, while the weaker skaters may fall off the depth chart.

Today’s hockey market holds a broad range of programs which concentrate on one specific aspect of the skating stride - for all ages, when in reality the athlete needs to develop all aspects of the stride at key specific times during development.

The Peak Centre’s NEW Hybrid program aims to target those specific needs by using age and developmentally appropriate skating drills and progressions, built around the work and rest ratios common to hockey. Small group ratios with high calibre instructors who know the ins and outs of the game, ensure a level of attention unmatched by other programming.

Need to become more comfortable with your edges, pivots and turns? Looking to get the most out of your stride? Keen to add serious power to your game? Want to improve your first step quickness? Peak Centre’s Hybrid Skating program is the one for you!!

Shooting, Scoring and Puck Skills - Bantam/Midget

Peak Centre’s Semi Private Shooting/Scoring and Puck Skill program is a must for any player looking to enhance their offensive abilities. Each session focuses on the process and underlying skills of shooting, scoring and puck handling rather than focusing solely on outcome. This approach is a more effective means of teaching which helps a player understand their game, strengths and weaknesses; providing them with the skills and knowledge to analyze their game and make corrections. By repeating corrected movements and utilizing cognitive training techniques as well as small area skills manipulation each player will develop the scoring skills needed to become an elite player.

Suitable for:

Any/all competitively inclined players prepared to increase their dynamic puck handling ability and scoring aptitude (sessions available for ages 7-17).

The ‘Train to Train’ stage makes or breaks the athlete. Athletes may exhibit special talent, play to win, and do their best, but they still need to allocate more time to training skills and physical capacities than competing in formal settings. This approach is critical to the long-term development of top performers and lifelong participants.
